Being diabetic and travelling means you need to pack a few extra items: the supplies you use to take care of yourself. A few super essential items that will help manage your diabetes when you are on-the-go.

An in-case-of emergency check list
Your supply kit should have important information about your condition and treatment. Make an info sheet that includes:
*The list of all the medication you take along with their dose and the time to take them.
*Your emergency contact details
*Contact details of your doctor
Medication
If you have type 2 diabetes, your medications will involve pills that help you use insulin better.
You may also need to pack your insulin pens/ syringes.
Cool Packs
If you do take insulin to manage your blood sugar, then you know that it needs to be stored in the refrigerator.
When travelling, the best way to store your insulin will be in an insulated bag with a cold pack.

Medical Supplies
A glucometer with test strips and some extra batteries if you need to check your blood sugar regularly.
In case of drop in blood sugar

One needs to act quickly in case of a sugar drop.
Keep a few items that can help you, these can include a small fruit (apple, orange etc.), juice tetra packs, a small box of raisins etc.
